The Muxlab 500050 is a component video and single-channel analog audio balun that transmits component video signal across Cat 5 unshielded twisted pair cable. The 500050 can transmit full 720p to 1080i/p signal up to 500 ft, 480i/p up to 1,000 ft and digital audio up to 600 ft. The 500050 is ideal for transmitting component video in the YPbPr format or RGB format. The 500050 is one of two baluns needed for a complete installation, as it transmits the data from the DVD Player or other input component video device. To receive the data on the other end of the Cat 5, a 500053 is required, which then can relay the component video to a compatible display, television or other component device.
